Reviews

The map pack is a trust contest. Reviews are how you enter it.

A complete profile with quiet reviews loses to a busy one. We build a simple ask that real customers actually finish, a reply standard, and monitoring for new 1- and 2-star reviews — including Jumper Media’s Reputation Shield for reviews that break Google’s policies.

Monitoring and policy reports run through Jumper Reputation Shield.

What’s included

Review ask that fits the job

SMS or email at the moment of delight — after the haircut, the install, the visit — with a short link and no guilt trip.

Reply playbooks

Short, human replies for praise and for complaints. Unanswered reviews read as an owner who isn’t around.

Low-star monitoring

New 1- and 2-star reviews get flagged quickly so you aren’t finding them from a customer three days later.

Policy-based reporting

Fake, spam, off-topic, conflict-of-interest, and abusive reviews can be reported. Google makes the call. Not every review comes down.

What we will not do

We don’t sell reviews, gate requests so only happy people are asked, or tell staff to post as customers. That gets listings suspended.

How it runs

  1. 1

    Read the current profile

Count, recency, reply rate, and whether a few angry reviews are doing all the talking.

  2. 2

    Install the ask

One owner, one script, one place it fires. Consistency beats a once-a-year push.

  3. 3

    Turn on the watch

Reputation Shield monitors the profile and reports reviews that appear to violate policy.

  4. 4

    Make replies a habit

We draft, you approve the sensitive ones, and the public sees a business that shows up.

A good fit if

  • You see customers often enough to ask without being weird.
  • An owner or manager can approve replies.
  • You want a cleaner reputation, not a fabricated one.

Questions

Can you delete a bad review?

Only Google can remove a review. If it violates policy we report it through Reputation Shield and follow up. Their own reporting has removed a large share of policy-breaking 1-star reviews; legitimate complaints usually stay, and the right move is a calm public reply.

How many reviews do I need?

Enough that the last one isn’t six months old, and enough to look comparable to whoever sits in the pack today. A dentist with 12 reviews will not outrank a dentist with 400 on prominence alone.

Is this included with map ranking?

Reputation Shield is part of how Jumper Media supports active local clients. We still set up the ask and the replies — monitoring doesn’t create new reviews by itself.
